Kiro Privacy Policy

What Data We Collect and Why

Kiro collects only the data necessary to operate the app and deliver a personalized learning experience.

Data we collect:

• Account information — email address and display name, collected via Supabase Auth to create and manage your account.
• Learning progress — XP, streaks, rank data, and lesson completion status, stored in Supabase to track your progress and power features like leaderboards and rank evolution.
• Purchase and subscription status — managed through RevenueCat to verify active subscriptions and restore purchases across devices.
• Anonymous product analytics — collected via PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve the experience. This data is not tied to your identity.
• User-generated prompts — prompts you write in the Prompt Lab feature are sent to the Google Gemini API for AI-powered evaluation and feedback. These prompts are not stored by Kiro after processing.

Data we do NOT collect:

• No location data
• No contacts or phone data
• No advertising identifiers
• No data is sold to third parties

Third-Party Services

Kiro relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics
• Google Gemini API — AI-powered features (Prompt Lab)
• Apple — App Store distribution and payment processing

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies for details on how they handle data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data and learning progress are retained for as long as your account is active. Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregate form and cannot be traced back to individual users.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing kiroai.app@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Kiro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at the email below and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Kiro after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
