Kiro Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Kiro, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app. Continued use of Kiro after any changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

Kiro is an AI literacy learning app designed to teach practical AI skills through interactive lessons, duels, a Prompt Lab, and a rank progression system. The app gamifies learning with XP, streaks, mascot evolutions, and leaderboards to keep users engaged and progressing.

3. Account Registration and Responsibility

To use Kiro, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

Kiro offers the following subscription plans:

• Monthly — $12.99/month
• Annual — $69.99/year (includes a 7-day free trial)

The 7-day free trial is available on the annual plan only. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid annual subscription.

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

Prices are in USD and may vary by region based on Apple's pricing tiers.

5. Refund Policy

All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support. Kiro does not process refunds directly.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Kiro for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
• Abuse, harass, or harm other users
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content or data from Kiro
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers, networks, or infrastructure
• Circumvent any security measures, access controls, or usage limits
• Share, resell, or redistribute your account access or subscription

7. Intellectual Property

All content within Kiro — including but not limited to lessons, quizzes, mascot designs, illustrations, animations, branding, logos, and UI design — is the property of Kiro and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Kiro content without prior written permission.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Prompt Lab feature uses the Google Gemini API to evaluate and respond to user-generated prompts. Responses are AI-generated and may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. Kiro does not guarantee the correctness of AI-generated output. You should use your own judgment when interpreting AI responses and should not rely on them as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Kiro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kiro and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Kiro shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

Kiro reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms of Service, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise inappropriate. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Any provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Kiro after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
